Items listed under Consent are generally of a routine nature. The Board may take action to approve/disapprove all items in a single vote. Any item may be withheld from a general action, to be discussed and voted upon separately at the discretion of the Board.

The board will consider amending the environmental health fee schedule to incorporate NCGS Session Law 2023-90, House Bill 628.  Fees assessed shall become effective September 1, 2023.

The Board will consider amending the Lottery Fund budget to reflect the return of funds leftover from completed capital projects in the amount of $16,114.80 as approved by the NC Department of Public Instruction. These lottery funds will be available for reallocation for future projects.

Request approval to designate $3,284,762.60 in the FY22-23 General Fund as part of closing the accounting records for the year-end audit. The funds would be designated for the specified ongoing projects that could not be completed before the fiscal year ended.

Consideration of three appointments to the Library Committee.  There are 3 vacancies on the Library Committee for county appointees.  Nine applications have been received for consideration.

Noah Snyder will represent Alamance County as this year’s 4-H Youth Voice Delegate at the 2023 North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) Annual Conference. 

Dr. Larry Keen, Interim President of Alamance Community College, will be here to give an update on the Public Safety Training Center.
