APPOINTMENTS/ REAPPOINTMENTS

5.a.1

Library Committee – Lynn Merrill & Matthew Roberts

Consideration of the appointments of Lynn Merrill and Matthew Roberts to fill vacancies on the Library Committee as residents of the City of Mebane.

5.b

Year End Designations

Request approval to designate $13,321,731.57 in the FY23-24 General Fund as part of closing the accounting records for the year-end audit. The funds would be designated for the specified ongoing projects that could not be completed before the fiscal year ended.

Parks Grant Applications – RTP and GTSP

Alamance County Recreation and Parks seeks to apply for both a Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant and Great Trails State Program (GTSP) grant in tandem to support expansion, development and overdue updates to Shallow Ford Natural Area.

Parks Grant Applications – Haw River State Trail – RTP and GTSP

Alamance County Recreation and Parks seeks to apply for both a Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant and Great Trails State Program (GTSP) grant on behalf of the Friends of Haw River State Trail. These grants will be used in tandem for blue way bridge signage, portage step replacements and a comprehensive corridor study.

Proposed Employment Agreement

Review the proposed employment agreement between the Alamance County and James F. Stevens, County Attorney.

6.a

American Rescue Plan Act Allocation Update - Rebecca Crawford, Budget & Management Services Director

The Board will receive an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding update on projects and recommend a plan for final reallocation and obligation by December 31, 2024.

6.b

Courthouse Space Needs Discussion - Brian Baker, Assistant County Manager

The Board will hear options for accommodating long-term needs for the courts system.

6.c

Resolution: Authorizing Construction Management at Risk Services for the Alamance County Emergency Services Center - County Attorney Stevens

Review the proposed resolution authorizing the use of Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) services the constructions of the Alamance County Emergency Services Center.

Emergency Declaration Authorization Ordinance - County Attorney Stevens

Review proposed updates to the County’s Emergency Declaration Authorization Ordinance.
