I do not envy the job you have ahead of you tonight, and wish I could attend in person. I support a budget that is based on the rate of inflation - a 2 to 2.5% overall increase in spending, including a similar raise for employees (which I believe would cut the proposed tax increase down quite a bit since it's based on 4%). I do not support any move that would close libraries or enact layoffs, and call on you to oppose such a move as well. Thank you.Harrison MartinRemoving funding for our schools, public libraries, and county rescue squad is detrimental to the citizens of this county. These are essential public services that must remain funded. (Public Hearing Rules of Decorum) Each person desiring to speak during a public hearing or a public comment period has up to three (3) minutes to make remarks. Multiple speakers wanting to speak on the same matter, with the same position, are encouraged to have a single person speak for all. The Chair will acknowledge speakers. Speakers must address the Board from the lectern at the front of the room and begin remarks by stating their name and address. Speakers who require accommodation for a disability should contact the County Clerk or the ADA Coordinator at least twenty-four (24) hours before the meeting. The Board of Commissioners is not required to answer questions during a public hearing. Speakers should address comments to the Board as a whole and not to individual Board members. Discussions between speakers and members of the audience are not allowed. 8.PRESENTATIONS/OTHER BUSINESS Public Comments: 8.aHomestead Presentation - Brad Fowler, Tax Administrator Attachments | Public Comments1.Tax-Homestead Act Presentation - TAX-2025-006.pdf2.Homstead County Commission.pdfAs requested by the Board of County Commissioners the Tax Administrator will provide a report on the Homestead program related to property tax8.bInterlocal Agreement with Burlington for shared CAD Dispatch Software - Bruce Walker, Assistant County Manager Attachments | Public Comments1.Interlocal Burlington Alamance - County Manager's Office-2025-008.pdf2.Alamance CAD RMS Consortium Interlocal Agreement _ Final Draft 5-6-25.pdfInterlocal Agreement between Burlington Alamance for shared 911 CAD System8.cPresentation: “Trends in County Spending” – Commissioner Priola Attachments | Public Comments1.CCO- Presentation-EP - County Clerk's Office-2025-029.pdfCommissioner Priola will provide a power point presentation on “Trends in County Spending”.9.COUNTY ATTORNEY'S REPORT Public Comments: 10.COUNTY MANAGER'S REPORT Public Comments: 11.COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS Public Comments: 12.ADJOURNMENT Public Comments: No Item Selected Attachments (0) | Public Comments (0)This item has no attachments.1.ACSSC - LLafferty - County Clerk's Office-2025-027.pdf1.Detention Center Inmate Health Monitor.pdf2.Inmate Monitor-Sole Source Documentation.pdf1.Review Officer Resolution - Planning Dept.-2025-002.pdf2.Grace-Haith-Burns Review Officer Resolution - June 2025.pdf1.CCO- Presentation-EP - County Clerk's Office-2025-029.pdf1.Interlocal Burlington Alamance - County Manager's Office-2025-008.pdf2.Alamance CAD RMS Consortium Interlocal Agreement _ Final Draft 5-6-25.pdf1.DadFest Day - County Clerk's Office-2025-028.pdf2.dad fest proclamation.pdf1.P H FY2025-2026 Mgr’s Recommended Budget - County Manager's Office-2025-006.pdf1.Tax-Homestead Act Presentation - TAX-2025-006.pdf2.Homstead County Commission.pdf1.6-2-25 Interlocal Health Department Agreement - County Attorney's Office-2025-014(tl).pdf2.DRAFT CONTRACT - 90007242 ALAMANCE COUNTY GOVERNMENT (WS Edits 05.15.2025) (tl).pdf1.Post-Meeting Minutes - BC_May19_2025 - English.pdf1.Landfill Accounts Receivable Reconciliation - County Attorney's Office-2025-015.pdf2.Landfill Revenue Adjustment Resolution (AMS Edits 5-23-25).pdf3.DOC050625-05062025161129.pdfThis item has no public commentScott Ward (No Position)Good evening commissioners.
